Privacy Policy

In brief: nothing on this site asks who you are. There are no accounts and no forms to submit, and whatever you type into the interactive tools stays in your own browser.

What we do not collect

There is no sign-up, no login and no form of any kind anywhere on this site. We do not ask for your name, your address, your phone number or your business details, and there is nowhere on the site to enter them.

If you email us, we have your email address and whatever you put in the message — that is unavoidable, and we use it to reply and to fix what you told us about, nothing else.

The interactive tools

The calculators and selectors run entirely in your browser. The answers you give them are not transmitted to us or to anyone else. Where a tool remembers your progress between visits, it does so using your browser’s own local storage on your own device; we cannot read it, and clearing your browser data clears it.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting aggregate analytics to understand which pages are read and how the site performs. This does not identify you individually, and we do not build profiles of visitors or sell data to anyone.

Outbound clicks

Some links on this site are affiliate links, and clicks on them pass through a redirect on our own domain so that we can count them in aggregate. That count tells us how many people used a link, not who they were. Once you arrive at a third-party site, that site’s own privacy policy applies and we have no control over what it collects — see how affiliate links work.
